JANUS is the Roman god of beginnings, gates, and transitions — depicted with two faces, one to the past, one to the future. The product is named for him because every token launch is a doorway: behind is history (who's bought before), ahead is risk (what comes next).
Two faces, one score
JANUS watches every Bankr launch on Base from the moment our indexer boots forward. When a token deploys, we track the first 5 minutes of buy activity. When the window closes, we publish a single 0–100 score that reflects how much smart-money attention the launch attracted.
The score blends four signals, weighted:
- 40% Smart buyer count — how many distinct smart wallets bought in. Caps at 10. More wallets = broader signal.
- 30% Capital deployed — total tokens acquired by smart wallets (% of the 100B Doppler supply). Baseline saturates at 10% of supply.
- 20% Tier-S participation — how many wallets with the top tier (S, ≥20 historical Bankr buys) entered. Caps at 3.
- 10% Entry velocity — how early in the 5-minute window the first smart buy lands. Earlier = stronger conviction.
Today's tiers measure activity, not profit.
A V1 “Tier S” wallet has participated in 20+ Bankr launches as a buyer — a proxy for conviction, but not the same as proven profit. A serial loser with high volume looks the same as a sharp trader to V1.
V2will index Doppler pool swap events to compute real per-wallet PnL, win rate, and hold time. Re-tiering will be weighted by realized profit, not activity count. Ships when we've validated the swap-attribution pipeline — no fixed date.
How wallets are ranked
A wallet enters the smart-wallet index when it has bought into 2 or more historical Bankr launches indexed by JANUS. Tier is assigned by total distinct-launch participation; reputation is a log-scaled function of that count (log₁₀(launches) × 50).

Past and Future
Every Bankr launch we’ve indexed lives in our memory. When a known wallet shows up in a new launch, we recognize them and contribute their tier to the score.
We watch every entry for the first 5 minutes. Smart entries are attributed live. When the tracking window closes, we publish the score.

The Wall stays public forever.
Wallet profiles, whale dashboards, raw API, and smart-entry alerts will be gated to $JANUS holders by tier when the token launches. Holding thresholds, tier mechanics, and gating logic will be finalized at launch — the Wall itself never gates.
